Rocío García Ramos, former student of the Master’s Degree in Product Design and Development, has been finalist of the Call to Innovation competition representing the "rUreD4us?" project.
The contest asked the participants to solve some of the import problems in Spain (unemployment, education, financial crisis, energetic dependence, etc.) and to improve the life of 10 million of Spanish people through technology.
The former student of the School, who was among the best 5 of 198 participants, answered the challenge with the "rUreD4us?" project, of which she was representative and that was born 4 years ago in the Creative Society company. "Are you ready 4 us?" is a global research about young entrepreneurs that are changing the world. It is a project that shows the brilliant work carried out by a lot of young entrepreneurs and that designs specific proposals for involving youth in society.
Call to Innovation is a competition organized by the Singularity University, the NASA academic institution located in Silicon Valley, the Grupo Cosentino and the Fundación Rafael del Pino. The aim of the contest is to identify future innovators, technological entrepreneurs and emergent leaders with creativity and ambition for changing the world.
This is the latest of the awards she has received, following the second award in the Design for (your) product lifetime for the “Smarter Phone” project, which she carried out with Bernat Lozano, and the finalist award in the James Dyson Award 2013.
