BCN Design Week 2010 will be open from 18 to 22 October for its fifth edition of an positioned as a leading event for promoting and debating design and a date on the international calendar that can't be missed.
Under the slogan "Facing New Challenges Through Design" BCN Design Week 2010 aims to make known the role of design as a key element of innovation and competitiveness both for businesses, professionals and institutions, and for entities and organizations of all industry and scope, at a time in which we are required to take full advantage of the products and services that we offer.
BCN Design Week, organized by BCD Barcelona Design Centre is an international business focused congress framed in the field of design and aimed at those companies and professionals in any industry or productive services that use knowledge and creativity as a driver of its business activity.

With FABRICATION LABORATORY, curated by Ramon Prat, the DHUB presents an analysis of the new 3D digital fabrication technologies, a phenomenon in constant evolution that is leading to radical changes in design and production processes.
FABRICATION LABORATORY is a dynamic event to which various layers of information and experience will be added until it closes. In this way, it will gradually accumulate ongoing analysis of the new production context.
The objects developed using new technological tools—advanced design software and CNC digital fabrication machines—and the ability to customise design and mass production (mass customisation) are calling into question the future of the traditional model/series approach of industrial design.

TODO ES DISEÑO (Everything is design) is an exhibition curated by Oscar Marine, a selection of posters, publications, typography, packaging and other works of 40 Spanish designers - among them the National Design Awards: Enric Satué, Alberto Corazón, Pati, Isidro Ferrer , Mario Eskenazi, and Javier Mariscal and others - as well as 20 other European designers.
