For this, you will need to:
1. Complete all the details in the request form on this website (you can access it at the end of this page).
2. Attach the following, either in Catalan or Spanish:
2.1 Curriculum vitae (maximum 2 pages A4 or Letter size, in PDF format).
2.2 Covering letter (maximum 1 page A4 or Letter size, in PDF format).
2.3 Book* or Portfolio*:

Once you have pre-enrolled, the system will inform you of your username and password, which you will need to track the progress of your application online. You will also be sent an e-mail containing this information.

>> SECOND. Pre-enrolment
Please pay the €300,00 pre-enrolment fee in one of the following ways:
- In cash, by going in person to the Administration Department at La Rambla, 30-32, 08002 in
Barcelona. Opening hours are Mondays to Fridays, 10 am to 1 pm, and 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesdays and
Thursdays.
- Direct deposit into Banco Santander Central Hispano or national or international bank transfer into the

When making a bank transfer, be sure to include the name and surname of the applicant and the name of the course for which you are pre-enrolling. Please send proof that the transfer or deposit has been made, by e-mail to preinscripciomasters@elisava.net.
Your pre-enrolment will be complete once we have received your request, checked the required information (CV, covering letter and book) and confirmed that the pre-enrolment fee has been paid. If you so request, ELISAVA will send you an e-mail confirming that you have been pre-enrolled for the programme.
REFUND OF THE PRE-ENROLMENT FEE
The pre-enrolment fee will be returned only in the following cases:
1. If the person who is pre-registered is not accepted in the course due to academic reasons.
2. If the person who is pre-registered in the course was to require a student visa and the same is turned down by the competent authorities. (The bank transfer expenses will be to the account of the applicant).
3. If the person who is pre-registered in the programme requires a scholarship or student loan to cover payment of the registration and the same is finally not granted. (The bank transfer expenses will be to the account of the applicant).
4. If the programme corresponding to said pre-registration is cancelled by ELISAVA prior to its starting.
NOTE: In cases 2 and 3, documentary proof will be required.
GUARANTEE OF PLACES
Pre-enrolment does not guarantee a place on any course.
Only those students who have been admitted and have paid the full course fee within the period indicated will have a secure place on the course they have applied for - see section >> FOUR. Payment).
PRE-ENROLMENT DEADLINES
ORDINARY
a. For courses that start in October: before 30 May 2010.
b. For courses that start in March 2011: before 24 October 2010.
EXTRAORDINARY
(only for courses with vacant places): Until the 1st of the month before a course starts.
Non-EU students will not have the option for an extraordinary place unless they have an approved visa and can prove it.
>> THIRD. Admission
Places are limited.
The selection and admission procedure for a course will be based on an evaluation of the delivered documents as well as on the receipt date for pre-enrolment.
COURSES STARTING IN OCTOBER 2010
1. ORDINARY PRE-ENROLMENT
Once the ordinary pre-enrolment period has ended (open until 30 May 2010) the candidate-selection process will start. ELISAVA will notify individual candidates of their acceptance on to a course via the internet, e-mail and post after 16 June 2010.
Courier service costs are paid by the applicant and must be handled from your country of origin.
Non-acceptance on to a course will be notified only via the internet or e-mail.
2. EXTRAORDINARY PRE-ENROLMENT
(only where there are places available on a course)
Non-EU students will not have the option for an extraordinary place unless they can prove that they have an approved visa.
Pre-enrolment via the internet will remain open as long as there are places or until the first of the month before a course starts.
Applications will be considered and, within approximately 15 days, the candidate-selection process will begin, based on a review of the documentation and payment of the pre-enrolment fee. ELISAVA will notify applicants of their acceptance on to a course via the internet, e-mail and post.
Courier service costs are paid by the applicant and must be handled from your country of origin.
Non-acceptance on to a course will be notified only via the internet or e-mail.
COURSES THAT START BETWEEN MARCH AND JULY 2011
1. ORDINARY PRE-ENROLMENT
Once the ordinary pre-enrolment period has ended (open until 24 October 2010) the candidate-selection process will start. ELISAVA will notify applicants of their acceptance on to a course via the internet, e-mail and post after 4 November 2010.
Courier service costs are paid by the applicant and must be handled from your country of origin.
Non-acceptance on to a course will be notified only via the internet or e-mail.
2. EXTRAORDINARY PRE-ENROLMENT
(only where there are places available on a course)
Non-EU students will not have the option for an extraordinary place unless they can prove that they have an approved visa.
Pre-enrolment via the internet will remain open as long as there are places or until the first day of the month before a course starts.
Applications will be considered and, within approximately 15 days, the candidate-selection process will begin, based on a review of the documentation and payment of the pre-enrolment fee. ELISAVA will notify applicants of their acceptance on to a course via the internet, e-mail and post.

>> FOURTH. Payment
Once your application has been accepted, you will need to pay the appropriate fee within 15 days in order to guarantee your place on the course.
If you do not pay this within 15 days, and all places are taken, you will be put onto the Waiting List and we will let you know if a place becomes free.
> Payment for a Masters course:
• Candidates will be informed via e-mail of their acceptance on to the course and within 15 days must pay 50% of the fee for the Masters course, less the amount paid for the pre-enrolment fee.
• Payment for the remainder of the fee must be paid before the end of January 2011 (for Masters that start in October 2010) or end of June 2011 (for Masters that start in March 2011).
> Payment for a Postgraduate course:
• Candidates will be informed via e-mail of their acceptance on to the course and within 15 days must pay 100% of the fee for the Postgraduate course, less the amount paid for the pre-enrolment fee.

IMPORTANT.
Where the full course fees are not paid within the established period of 15 days, your place may be taken by another candidate if the Waiting List is open.
REFUND OF TUITION FEES
Tuition fees will be returned only in the following cases:
1. If the person accepted in the course was to require a student visa and the same was to be turned down by the competent authorities. (The bank transfer expenses will be to the account of the applicant).
2. If the person accepted in the programme was to require a scholarship or student loan to cover payment of the registration and the same is finally not granted. (The bank transfer expenses will be to the account of the applicant).
3. If the programme corresponding to said pre-registration is cancelled by ELISAVA prior to its starting.
4. If the person who has been accepted in the course decides to not take the course and communicates this decision one month prior to the course starting, 85% of the amount of registration will be duly returned; if this period is not respected, there will be no possibility for return, although the amount of the registration can be passed over to another Elisava course.
PLEASE NOTE: In cases 1 and 2, documentary proof will be required.
>> FIFTH. Waiting List
When a Masters or Postgraduate course is filled up, a Waiting List will be started.
Candidates on this list will have the right to places that become vacant.
GETTING ON TO THE WAITING LIST
Candidates who have been selected but have not obtained a place on the course will be put on the Waiting List.
1. They will be notified via the internet or e-mail.
2. Subject to availability of places, they will have to wait to find out whether or not they have got on to the course.
3. Admission onto the course will be confirmed when a place becomes free; there is no fixed date as to when this will happen.
REFUND IN THE EVENT OF ACCEPTED CANDIDATES NOT HAVING A PLACE CONFIRMED ON A COURSE
Only where a selected candidate does not get a place on a course will ELISAVA return the full amount paid by the applicant.
>> SIXTH. Enrolment
In order to be registered fees payment is needed, which amount is indicated in the admission letter.
The enrolment process for Masters and Postgraduate courses will be completed a week or two before the start of the course (as indicated in the letter of admission) at the Academic Management Unit, Mondays to Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm. This department is located at the School's main site at Carrer Ample 11-13 in Barcelona.
It is essential that you complete your enrolment at ELISAVA in person, bringing the necessary documentation with you.
If you do not complete this process, you will not be enrolled on the course.
DOCUMENTATION
1. Two (2) photocopies of both sides of your national identity document or passport.
2. One (1) passport sized photo - 2.5 x3 cm (approx).
3. Original or certified photocopy of the university degree or receipt confirming that payment has been made for the degree to be issued*.
4. Original or certified photocopy of the applicant's academic record**.
* You may present the original and ELISAVA will photocopy and certify it and return the original.
** Academic record: a document issued by a university or college which includes all the subjects and
qualifications for courses taken.
Once the documentation has been checked and the corresponding fees paid, ELISAVA will provide written confirmation of enrolment together with a card certifying that the applicant is enrolled as a student.
STUDENTS WITH OVERSEAS QUALIFICATIONS - MEMBER COUNTRIES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
Member states of the European Union or signatories to the European Economic Area Agreement: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
Also, Switzerland through a bi-lateral agreement with the EU.
Documents:
1. Original or certified photocopy of university degree, or receipt confirming that payment has been made
for the qualification to be issued.
2. Original or certified photocopy of the applicant's academic record.
Where the language used in the qualification is other than Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian or
Portuguese, a Sworn Translation of the above documents must be included. This translation may be done by:
- Sworn translator (authorised and registered in Spain).
- Any diplomatic or consular Representative of Spain abroad.
- Diplomatic or consular Representative of Spain in the issuing country for the document.
STUDENTS WITH OVERSEAS QUALIFICATIONS – COUNTRIES THAT ARE NOT MEMBERS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
Documents:
1. Original or certified photocopy of the qualification, legalised by a diplomatic representative.
Legalisation of the academic qualifications by diplomatic representative is obligatory for all
foreign qualifications, according to the following requirements:
1.1. For documents issued in countries that have signed The Hague Convention of October 1961, sole legalisation or Hague Apostille (abbreviated legalisation) will be sufficient. Each country issues the seal through a particular body, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The countries that have signed The Hague Convention are the following:
Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Byelorussia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Botswana, Brunei-Darussalam, Colombia, South Korea, Croatia, Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador, United States of America, Russian Federation, Fiji, Georgia, Grenada, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Niue Isles, Cook Islands, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lesotho, Liberia, Macao, Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, Malawi, Mexico, Moldavia, Monaco, Namibia, New Zealand, Panama, Puerto Rico, Samoa, Saint Kitts and Nevis, San Marino, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Seychelles, Switzerland, Serbia and Montenegro, South Africa, Surinam, Swaziland, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela, Extensions: Netherlands (Dutch West Indies, Aruba); United Kingdom (Anguilla, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Santa Elena, Turks & Caicos Islands, Virgin Islands).
1.2. For documents issued in countries that have signed the Andrés Bello Agreement, diplomatic legalisation is necessary, with three seals being required: that of the Ministry of Education in the country issuing the qualification; that of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country in question; and that of the Spanish diplomatic or consular representation in the country where the qualification is issued.(1)
The countries that have signed the Andrés Bello Agreement are the following:
Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.(1)
(1)Where a country has signed both The Hague Convention and the Andrés Bello Agreement, either of the two legalisations will be valid.
1.3. For countries that have not signed either of the above agreements, the diplomas must be legalised with the seals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and the Spanish embassy or consulate in the country, with the exception of the following countries:
- Brazil: qualifications must be legalised with the seals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Spanish embassy or consulate in the country. The seal of the university that has issued the qualification will be accepted in place of the seal of the Ministry of Education.
- China: qualifications must be legalised with the seals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Spanish embassy or consulate in the country. The seal of the university that has issued the qualification will be accepted in place of the seal of the Ministry of Education (provided that the sworn translation clearly includes each of the required seals).
- Dominican Republic: qualifications must be legalised with the seals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Spanish embassy or consulate in the country. The seal of the General Secretary for Education will be accepted in place of the seal of the Ministry of Education.
2. Certified photocopy of the applicant's academic record.
Where the language used in the qualification and/or academic record is other than Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian or Portuguese, a Sworn Translation of the above documents must be included. This translation may be done by:
- Sworn translator (authorised and registered in Spain).
- Any diplomatic or consular Representative of Spain abroad.
- Diplomatic or consular Representative of Spain in the country issuing the document.
>> QUALIFICATION
The corresponding qualifications for courses studied at ELISAVA are awarded in accordance with the student's education:
• For Masters, a higher university qualification will be required (graduate, architect, engineer or higher graduate with university qualification).
• For Postgraduate Diplomas and Postgraduate Courses, a higher university qualification or diploma will be required (graduate, technical architect, technical engineer or graduate with university qualification).
• Candidates without the required university qualification may, by virtue of their professional experience, be able to access a diploma run by Pompeu Fabra University's Institute of Continuing Education.
>> PRE-ADMISSION APPLICATION FOR THE PROCESSING OF GRANTS
It is important to be well informed on the possible institutions that could grant a scholarship.
If approved, please consult the date as of which studies can be started with the institution granting the scholarship.
Depending on this, select the type of pre-admission that corresponds.
1. Courses that start between October 2010 and July 2011
If you request a grant in your country for a course starting between October 2010 and July 2011, you must:
• Request pre-enrolment via the ELISAVA website www.elisava.net, following all the steps described above.
• Specify in your covering letter that a grant is in process, and give the name of the institution offering it.
2. For courses that start between October 2011 and July 2012
If you request a grant in your country, for a course starting between October 2011 and July 2012, you must:
• Request pre-admission by sending an e-mail to: preinscripciomasters@elisava.net
• We will then e-mail you a pre-admission request form. You should have prepared the following documentation in Catalan or Spanish:
- Curriculum vitae. (Maximum 2 pages A4 or Letter size, in PDF format)

• Processes for applying for grants for the period 2011-12 do not require payment.
• Pre-admission requests for grants will be accepted up until 20 February 2011.
3. MAE (Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Cooperation) /AECI (Spanish International Cooperation Agency) grants
• MAE/AECI grants are valid for courses starting between September 2011 and July 2012.
• Pre-admission requests for MAE/AECI grants will be accepted up until 12 December 2010, whether or not invitations for application have been announced.
• To request pre-admission, please follow point "2. For courses that start between October 2010 and July 2011"
ELISAVA reserves the right to make changes to the programme and the right to suspend the course two weeks before it starts if the minimum number of participants is not reached, and shall be obliged only to return to each participant the sums he/she has paid.
VERY IMPORTANT
Courses are given in Spanish.
It is essential that you understand, speak, read and write Spanish in order to be accepted on to the Masters or Postgraduate courses.
In order to pass the course, in addition to completing exercises, projects and tests, you must attend at least 80% of the classes. Work is not accepted as a justification for absence.
Overseas Students from non-EU countries:
Student visas are authorised or denied by a commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain. Students must obtain information from a Spanish consulate regarding requirements and deadlines for obtaining visas and the correct presentation of applications. ELISAVA handles admissions sufficiently in advance, as described in this document.
